Capital punishment is an abhorrent thing that serves no interest of justice at all.Locking people up is worse. Where did Brewer meet King? He went into prison a druggie and came out a burglar, a violent white supremacist, and a murderer. (And yes, it really is a classic case of why prosecuting drug users is not in the public interest.) And life without parole is a cop-out. It's capital punishment with an increased risk of escape. |
