He is attacking the real people behind those names!I think you should check some lawyer's sites I guess it is even easier in the UK The general consensus on the legal sites is that the person who has been slandered or libeled must suffer some kind of emotional or monetary loss in order to be compensated. It is not easy and the potential award may not be worth it for a lawyer to take on a contingency basis but it has been done. The problem arises that potential employers search the net looking for "dirt" on job candidates. Often times "handles" are linked to real names, perhaps not in this forum, but in others - or there is a common link through the email address. If a person loses a job opportunity because he has been labeled an "antisemite" or "retarded" or "ignorant" then a real monetary loss has occurred and there can very well be grounds for a lawsuit |
