There's quite a gulf between what the people think (and the ascendancy of teabaggers proves that they will buy into what they're fed, in sufficient numbers to elect enough of them in enough parts of the country) and what the republicans' agenda is. Too bad you can't see that they don't care....Karl Rove proved that all you need do is sell some fear (and have a few choice corporations in your pocket to assist) to get re-elected. So their ideology trumps all. They can readily get around the rest. The people be damned, and they will be. |
