We only take in a portion of what we need on a monthly basis most months (quarters differ). We do not have enough money in August to meet obligations. Obligations are not just debt interest.Also, Chris,"discretionary spending" (which your words belittle to make it seem like they're going out in DC and buying big screen TVs or Nintendos) includes items like the unwanted C-17 that the republican House authorized spending for last week.Why'd that happen in the midst of a fiscal crisis dispute? Pork for an Ohio Congresstroll? |
