The DPK radio navigation aid is actually near the Pilgrim State Psychiatric Hospital in Brentwood. I plan to head over to that area sometime over the next few weeks as part of my ongoing research of VOR/DMEs and TACANs. I will not be there as part of my Violent Crime Study (VCS) of Nassau/western Suffolk which is approaching final draft completion but I am thinking of going over to Farmingdale to see the airplanes flying around. I'm just glad I'll be using my car which is a safe mode of transportation. |
