It's been a bit of a running joke. Central Islip and Brentwood are mostly Hispanic so you won't see as many blacks there. I saw a decent number of black people there, but it certainly skewed Hispanic. On Carleton Avenue, one could see a number of businesses that cater to Central American immigrants. |
