My area is north of Montauk and is largely white with some blacks and hispanics and even Indians. Generalizations don't always hold true.Yes, but he didn't say "all", he said many. Patchogue is another example of the opposite. While it doesn't have many Blacks, NORTH of Main St (Montauk Highway) is the BETTER neighborhood, values are higher north of Montauk Highway there. Some communities there is no difference between north and south, or less extremes. However there are MANY towns where his description is true...very poor and bad north, and affluent south. |
