The problem with that is getting from the end of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Syosett Expressway to the shore. The road was never completed past Syosett, and to do it today would cause some serious Nimbyism and disruption. At least in the case of Shoreham, the William Floyd doesn't end too far from the shore.
