True, but it's not as vast as the differences throughout New Jersey. And it's all still New York City influenced, while New Jersey (depending on the area) is influence by New York City, Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, the Poconos (forgot to mention that earlier), and Delaware. And like I said before, a Waldbaums in Valley Stream carries the exact same items as a Waldbaums in Riverhead, a Waldbaums in Deer Park, a Waldbaum's in Rocky Point, etc. A Shop Rite in Newton carries very different products than a Shop Rite in Flemington which carries different products than a Shop Rite in Manahawkin. And my example of bringing up newspapers...from Queens to Montauk, the daily papers are all the same...Newsday, The NY Daily News, The NY Post, and The New York Times...that's it...nothing else...in New Jersey, there are about 15 daily newspapers IN ADDITION to the New York City papers, the Philadelphia papers, the Lehigh Valley papers, and the Orange County, New York paper. |
