But, not only is it fallacious reasoning, ad hominems, as you see, suck. The bottom line is however that attacking (or praising) the messenger does not affect the truth value of the message. All claims stand on the evidence. And the evidence abundantly shows that psychopathy, like all human behavioral traits is highly heritable. To the extent that it is heritable the trait could, in principle, be bred out (though in practice this is likely to be very difficult). And, we need a few psychopaths in society, as some (as politicians, business men, spies, etc...) do perform useful roles. |
