I was gonna say, I find it hard to believe that New Haven CT is the bastion of progressive grassroots rock n roll music. I say it's NYC.Yeah, indeed it is. A lot of the bands and performers you see in New Haven, already have played in Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan or will eventually. Unlike past generations, the kids today listen to greater varieties. You can go to somewhere like Brooklyn Bowl and have a lineup of a progressive rock band, a hip-hop artist, some retro New Wave-fusion band and some weird avante-garde performer all in one night and they can still have common or overlapping fanbases. |
