That's because the demographics of NYC can't support a radio station that plays Seether, Papa Roach, GWAR, and Metallica. Especially Long Island.Long Island has more than NYC. But it's all Classic Rock. Our "rockiest" station On Long Island is 99.1, and we just get that because it flows across the Sound. All the commercials are about what's going on on Friday Night in "Hartford". We DO have WBAB 102.3, which is acceptable if I still listened to FM regularly, but it's all Classic Rock, and so is 103.9 WRCN. We don't even have a station that plays 90's Music anymore. |
