He's describing the stereotypes that those people no doubt have. In any case, it's somewhat valid.No they don't if everyone who listened to Hip hop is as LuchAAA described than even Howard Beach would not be the "quiet", "peaceful" place it is. Not that all "minorities" are like that, but enough of them are like that and you know full well that well to do "minorities" will not be the ones moving there, they can afford better. There are also enough lower-class minorities who aren't what LuchAAA stereotypes them to be & just want to peacefully live their lives just as much as the lower-class people of Howard Beach apparently want to. I'd also like to note that Howard Beach residents even harass black people who move in their neighborhood and don't act like you and LuchAAA stereotyped them to be so that "Hip hop culture" argument is pretty moot in this case. Some people prefer to live in a neighborhood with muddy, dusty streets and no sewers so long as it's quiet. Different people have different priorities. How do you know that no lower-class black people are capable of living a quiet life? Just like LuchAAA you don't seem like you've been to enough lower-class black neighborhoods to judge the people in them. |
