It's sort of a Guido 'Jersey Shore" type of people there, and while Shirley is far from "high class", it's not "Guido".Shirley has a different sort of guido. He is similiar to the South Jersey or Westerly, RI guido. The Howard Beach guido is comparable to the Staten Island, Saugus, MA or Cranston, Rhode Island guido. Then you have the urban Bensonhurst or old school Belmont, Bronx guidos who are similiar to the Philly, North End of Boston or Medford, MA guido. members of the Shirley/Mastic species of guido are universally rejected by the continental guidos when trying to socialize or mate. (see the sordid events of the Le Affaire Amy Fisher/Joey Buttafuoco for more info) The Franklin Square guido is hard to define but they tend to reproduce with Queens semi-guidos, especially those from the Whitestone area. |
