Yeah, they are pretty similar. Shirley is probably "slightly" better than Mastic, which is better than Mastic Beach, but yes, same general idea all around.Oddly, the Mastic-Shirley Train station is in Shirley, technically, the station should be called "Shirley-Mastic", but again, it must have been done that way because when they opened the current location, they abandoned the Mastic Station which was originally the next station after Bellport (although at one time there was also a Brookhaven Hamlet station in between too, but that's another story). |
