Truth is, no one wants a strip club in their neighborhood, or wants porn produced in their neighborhood, or would approve of their daughter or sister getting fucked in the ass.No one? You sure? I tend to think that the business issues people associate with the GOP don't involve ass fucking, strip joints, and porn. No, only the religious whackjob element PHX brought up the 50's as if to say attitudes have changed so much that these issues(Ass fucking, porn, strip clubs) would only bother people whose values are more than fifty years outdated. People's values certainly have changed. For one, people cannot scream "nigger", "fag" or "hymie" with impunity and few people want to do so. Women are welcome in the workplace. Only a tiny proportion of people up here would condone legal proscriptions against the things you've named (especially what people do in the privacy of their homes) on principle, though there is a NIMBY issue on sex establishments. |
