The internet lets them know about the world around them, makes having an oppressive government difficult, in countries like Iran where the state controls the media the internet is seen as an enemy. Where people can freely think criticize and most importantly organize opposition. Thats what the internet does...One protestors poster said it best The New Way of Revolution = Facebook and Twitter No longer are AK47s are the tool of the revolution. You've been educated. |
