There's an attitude with black men that black women are theirs and theirs alone. Those who "stray from the herd" are often belittled as race traitors. Many white men say the same things about white women when they get involved with black men, but the difference here is that society automatically brands that as racism, but not when black men do the same. It's often explained away and even justified by the usual suspects.
