There are a couple individuals who shall remain nameless that as often as not miss my satire as well but at least they write with some level of knowledge and understanding (Editorial Comment: I am fully aware that sometimes my satire is so dry the attempt at humor evaporates into the ether). Anyway, some time ago there were a couple individuals, one who left the station on the B7, who attempted to speak with expertise about all things aviation, be it aerodynamics, avionics, ergonomics, and countless other -ics. I'd correct the misinformation but all I'd get in response were accusations of being totally clueless. Since the back and forth accomplished absolutely nothing I learned to read the posts and withhold any further comment. Of course, the thread continued without my input and all I could do was shake my head in amazement. I try to avoid speaking about subjects I really have no business discussing. At least pretend to do some basic research before entering the fray. It might help if people take into account their audience. |
