You keep concentrating on murders which is ironically the type of crime where a "hate crime" aggravator makes the least difference because:1. Murder is usually punished to the fullest extent of the law up to and including a death sentence. 2. It's the least common of violent crimes. Hate crimes are needed for lesser crimes like assault and vandalism which don't otherwise result in sentences of any particular deterrence. |
