People could say "Mexican" like it doesn't really matter what country they come from. Like it's all the same and who really cares.I don't think of it like that but maybe some do. I sometimes say "Mexican" just because most of the Hispanics out here (aside from certain areas) are Mexican. Maybe I should be more careful. I have neighbors that are from Peru. Another guy that is Puerto Rican. But when I'm out at the store I don't think of it consciously, but I tend to assume that most everyone that is Hispanic is Mexican. And I'm sure that over 90% of them are. |
