Unfortunately, because of extreme winters in most of the US, we play a Spring-to-Fall season instead of the Aug-May seasons played almost everywhere else

Many European countries have "extreme" winters too, in addition to the Scandanavian countries.
Granted there are a lot of warm weather countries too that hold soccer dear.
LOL, "the Cosmos". I used to know a few people that used to go to Cosmos games at Giant Stadium.....the were all foreign born.
