Soccer is a blight on the athletic landscape and makes no sense. It has no redeeming qualities or any intrinsic which means innate value. Soccer has no place in modern society. Someone, never mind who, recently stated the reason the Pilgrims came to America, beyond religious persecution, was to get away from soccer and be able to watch basketball and football even though, to my knowledge, football was not around back then. Anyway, the Basketball Hall of Fame is in Massachussetts for exactly that reason. |
