Can't answer that, I'm not a NASCAR member. :)

I vaguely knew Dinkins years ago when I worked on rebuilding WBLS and the Apollo, and got to meet the rest of the crew back then. Dave Dinkins *is* (and was) a very capable, very intelligent, and very honest man. As a sub-sub-subcontractor, they didn't have to give me the time of day and yet they were all very nice, very helpful and even got me more gigs.

As to the race card, I guess whites don't find themselves at a disadvantage just because of their looks. And let's be real here - there was plenty of racism after Dinkins, and we see it again with Obama throughout the campaign as well as the reactions to his policies. So I'd have to agree that there is racism, and plenty of it. And just because some folks don't want to be reminded of it, we hear all this "race card" nonsense. But calling "anti-semitism" isn't a problem. I'm not too happy with Obama myself, but I can complain strictly on policy in that sometimes a politico has to show some balls. So I s'pose it all comes down to what individual people's motivations are for their complaints. We have NOT achieved "post-racial" yet although I'd hoped, as have many, that "Obama in the house" would have finally gotten us there AND had us doing that long neglected "discussion" ... I suppose that'd require more beer than this nation can afford tho'. :)
