Yes, a bunch of drunk assholes outside a club at 2:30 in the morning. BTW, that is actually North Patchogue, it's mostly "white people" (20-somethings) at that club.....not that that means anything. This club opened a few months ago, it used to be Side Pockets Billiard Hall. I have driven past it late at night a few times, and it's usually packed, the cars fill up the entire parking lot, and along the street. It's sort of in the middle of nothing over there on that part of Waverly Ave.Anyway, here's the article, I am an optonline user, so can subscribe to Newsday.com for free, although I think anyone can see this short article. Security guard stabbed at Patchogue club December 6, 2009 By PATRICK WHITTLE Patrick.Whittle@newsday.com Suffolk police are investigating the early morning stabbing of a security guard outside a Patchogue nightclub early Sunday. Aubrey Love, 39, was stabbed several times outside the 620 Lounge, located at 620 Waverly Ave. in Patchogue, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition, police said. Witnesses said the stabbing occurred at about 2:45 a.m. as security guards threw a patron out of the club, police said. A group of five men, some carrying knives, attacked the guards and then fled, police said. Police said they believe there were witnesses and ask anyone with information to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Calls will remain confidential, police said. |
