I was just thinking that on my last drive from Florida this past winter! it's so convenient to use the mile markers as the exit. It's even used on I4 in Florida where exits are closer together. My firtst thought was that our exists are too close, but there are somem close exits elsewhere too. I4 wasn't always in that system, they even have "former exit 33" on the top of the signs, I guess for some years untill people get used to the mile marker exit numbers.It's especially convenient on I95 where you drive state to state, as you know exactly how many miles you get to the next state. It sort of breaks the ride up. |
