What did you think back in the 1970's when you first heard the music and you didn't know about the pre-bellum Dixie background?I was a child and I remember that the music meant that a good movie might be coming on that I may not be able to finish watching. I liked the music even then. I didn't know it was the theme from GWTW until a fews later when I actually watched that film for the first time. Before that, it was just the classic WOR movie song. Seeing it now on YouTube after all these years brought back a lot of nostalgia and was sort of moving really. I wish I could find the circa 1976-1980 opening theme from the NY Yankee games on WPIX. THAT would bring a lot of flashbacks. |
