Remember when the neighborhood started changing someone opened a "Black Castle" (hamburgers) around Newkirk and Nostrand? It only lasted a couple of years. I think it was in the late sixties.I wasn't from that part of Newkirk Ave. My aunt, uncle and cousins lived on Nostrand across from the Brooklyn Public Library between Farragut and Glenwood Rds.
