That is exactly what has happened...it appears to be much closer popular-vote wise. Republicans have simply concentrated in too many places.But I'm surprised that Bush (Herbert Walker) and Dole won more popular votes, but lost their elections to Bill Clinton in landslides. The rules, however, have changed. Women will figure prominently into voters' minds next time. |
