The obvious solution is to have gay civil unions...and straight civil unions. Want to get married? Do it in some phony-baloney church...or SYNAGOGUE.I agree absolutely. The state should have an interest in personal relationships only as far as property transfer (inheritance), implied powers of attorney (who can make medical decisions for another for instance), and children. The rest should be private. |
