Not only because the people voted against it, and the judges wrongfully reversed it, but it's not really a "marriage" when it's two people of the same sex.Forty years ago, my current romantic interest and I would have been told that our right to marriage isn't valid because she's white and I'm black. But those pesky judges decided to "ignore" the will of the people and ruled against laws banning such marriages. Just keep that in mind when deciding that gay marriage is magically evil and should be banned. The prejudices of the majority do not allow for the infringement of the rights of the minority. but it's not really a "marriage" when it's two people of the same sex. So, if we call it "garridge", is it magically better? |
