Just a little clarification, BrooklynQB: when I talk about the U.S. having a very individualistic culture I don't mean that we value people who are different and unique. What I mean is that we expect people to sink or swim on their own efforts to a greater extent than most other cultures in the world. I mean that it's one of our national beliefs that a person can meet all his or her own needs alone without the help of other people.Mark |
