I actually have had very good luck winning at least 50% of my tickets, a few on appeal. a couple with the fine cut in half, and a few guilty. Most were due to conflicting and unclear regulations. I even got off one or two that I should have been found guilty on. It all depends on who the judge is. If you get a nice one, and there are a few, you will get off. About a third I would say are sub-human like the one I wrote about. You have a better chance of getting off if you show up the next day as opposed to waiting a long time.Once in the 1980s, the AAA did an expose on how unfair the system was. I received a ticket the following week and heard about 30 cases before mine. The judge only found one person guilty and that was because the guy didn't put up much of a defense. Those days are long gone. Very few are found innocent these days. Usually the best you could hope for is to have the fine cut in half. |
