There is a significant issue with getting rid of the $1 bill. Doing g so would force us to switch to the $1 coun. That in itself might be a good thing since dollar bills clutter up your wallet but what about the guys who wear their pants half way over their butt's? The extra weight of $1 coins might cause their pants to ride even lower and in some instances, make it more difficult to jump a turnstile or fleet a mugging.
