Well it was still kind of dark but definitely not in darkness of the night.

Wearing a mask on a cold day helps avoid suspicion.

NYPD still hasn't caught the guys who vandalized a church statue in Fresh Meadows even though they have clear images of their faces. That said this guy had a clear getaway plan but technology will catch up to him.
