As for #1, no president, henchmen and all, could assume office and 4 years later undo the USA as we know it today. The founding fathers made sure of the president not having that much power. Its been tried before and never succeeded.As for #3, I meant that Carter didn't have the intellectual smarts to deal with the energy crisis, Soviet aggression, Iran , the failed operation "Eagle Claw" and overall distrust of his leadership qualities by the American people as a whole. All this led to the landslide victory by Reagan in the 1980 election |
