We're lucky our country wasnt torn apart back thenHow would our country have been "torn apart"? Yes, those events were very serious, but none of them was a threat to the stability of the country. The fake electors plot was a deliberate attempt to subvert the Constitution. What came even close to that in the 60s? The worst that Nixon could have done would have been to successfully stonewall, survive impeachment, and leave office on 1/20/1977. There was not the slightest threat that he would subvert the 1976 election. |
