I am reading Shakespeare. In the tragedy of Macbeth, there is a passage about owls killing birds. That may well be true, I do not know, but I do know this... owls are strong, owls have acute vision, and owls fly quietly in the night. My point is those baby songbirds have no chance and it was too late for them a long time ago. I do not blame the owl because the owl does not know what it is doing. On the other hand, the cat kills purely out of spite and that is a fact. It massacres the songbird but leaves it alone and then goes away to kill again for no reason. I do not like cats, the Destroyer of Songbirds. |
