Is he mischaracterizing the three-fifths compromise again? That was put in place so that slave states would not abuse the federal government by counting their slaves as whole people for the purpose of apportion; if that was not put in place, then the slave states would have had more representatives based on people who had no rights due to being slaves and thereby abusing the slaves even more as well as making the federal government perpetually pro-slavery. Absolutely nothing to do with the electoral college besides. |
