Every fucking time you bring this up I keep telling you that the attempted coup on January 6, 2021 was NOT the storming of the Capitol.They’re going to have another set of fake electors, they’re going to object to the proper electors and if both houses are controlled by the Trump Party they could well vote to sustain the objections and either accept the fake electors or force a contingent election in the House. This was the plan the last time, and if anything the storming of the Capitol prevented it by causing several senators to lose their stomach for the plan. The difference this time is that only two of the swing states has a Trump Party governor (and arguably Georgia is the most dispensable), they don’t have the vice presidency (which didn’t work for them the last time anyway), the independent state legislature doctrine is dead, and the threshold for an objection is higher. The latter is less important because if they can get to a majority, they can certainly meet the threshold. |
