Um, Alito's wife opposes the rule of law as it applies to the presidential succession.People are not viewed as being responsible for their children and parents (or else JFK, Gerald Ford, and Bill Clinton would all have been disqualified from the Presidency), but they are supposed by many to be able to have some say about how their spouses act. So again, if Merchan's daughter disqualifies him, Alito is out of a job too. By the way, Merchan got pre-approval from the applicable ethics board for his decision not to disqualify himself. |
