If Israel wanted to re-establish some kind of Temple up there, they would have brought in the bulldozers and knocked down the mosques that are up there when they captured East Jerusalem in 1967. Believe me, if the situation was reversed and the Arabs captured the Temple Mount with the Temple still on it, they’d have demolished it immediately. Arabs have no respect for any religion but Islam.Moshe Dayan returned control of the Temple Mount to the Waqf for two reasons. (1) There’s no Temple up there and nobody is proposing building one, so it wasn’t worth riling up a bunch of bloodthirsty monsters over a couple of old buildings. (2) Many Religious Jews believe that Jews are not allowed on the Temple Mount. Judaism maintains that the Temple Mount retains the holiness it obtained when the Temples stood and therefore Jews are not allowed to walk up there, lest they walk in areas that were reserved for the priests and Levites. I personally believe that Jews should not go on the Temple Mount. The Arabs can keep the Temple Mount. God will ultimately decide what becomes of it. But if they use it to thrown stones, their asses will be kicked. |
