Big Pharma made put like banditsLet's look at why Big Pharma was necessary. First, news of the Covid outbreak in China was known by public health officials by late December 2019. It was known there was human-to-human transmission and the transmission was through aerosols by early January 2020. Italy's experience in January 2020, showed it was both highly contagious with high death rates. It was also known there were no vaccines prevent nor therapeutics to treat this disease. The only technique left to the medical profession to fight the disease was quarantine. Had the world's countries agreed to immediate and drastic action to contain the virus, it would have died out by April 2020. They did not, and the disease was out of control by April 2020, with no letup in sight. Trump announced "warp speed" to develop a vaccine on 15 May 2020. Had he and other world leaders taken action in January/February 2020, Covid would have been only a recent memory. |
