That's when it's possible to prevent person-to-person transmission and permit the aerosol virus particles to die their natural death without infecting someone. That's what New Zealand did. Covid was wiped out in New Zealand within 3 months. New infections were imported from abroad.If the initial infection is not contained, then it's impossible to stop or even attenuate it. It was Biden's misfortune to inherit a bad situation that could not be ameliorated. The situation was made worse because some states prematurely lifted many restrictions. Red states tended to have a greater percentage of their deaths occur after Jan 2021 than blue states. These results are in line with county studies that showed a positive correlation between Trump's percentage in 2020 and Covid cases and deaths. |
