Are you disappointed that there was no riot?Of course not. People would get hurt, enemies made, etc. If an organization got a police permit for 3500 people and 25,000 showed up, that would constitute a riot. Unauthorized assembly, etc., etc. It's usually the other way around, organizers tell the police 10,000 will show up but the figure is around 100. The police must prepare for the organizer's figure. Otherwise, they would be negligent. They look ridiculous, when they outnumber the participants. The lack of a riot is an indication that the number attending the rally was close to the permit and not the inflated 25K figure. There's also photographic evidence but true believers accept only figures that agree with their mantra. |
