At MN, I've known trackworkers that make north of $100K (straight and OT) annually.Years ago (late 80s) there was a conductor that made on average $85K annually. That was a lot of $$$ for a conductor back then. That story made the media prompting an investigation. Sure enough all the money made was legit. Stories like that surface from time to time when the workers income get targeted for all the MTAs financial woes. |
