The other option is to eliminate the hostile territory by way of a population transfer.The strategy hasn't proved permanent, even if there is a territory willing to take the transfer. 1. The Babylonians tried it. 2. The population transfer instituted by the Romans lasted much longer. However, Jews reclaimed Israel after nearly 2000 years. It's likely the transferred Arabs and their descendants will try to reclaim their lost lands as tenaciously as the Jews. |
