He was a married man for the last 23 years of his life, though his wife Mary Todd was a handful. The story of Lincoln's possibly being gay came from his sleeping in a bed with another man during his time as a lawyer traveling across the plains of Illinois. To save money men often shared a bed with another attorney who was going to the same or close to the locale another lawyer was. This happened frequently during the 1830's before the railroads made traveling easier.It wouldn't surprise me in the least is some asshole socialist-liberal put out trash like this in order to sully our greatest President's respect, love and honor he holds solidly with the American people, even 149 years after his tragic assassination. |
