Heck, we can't even take our temperature with a real thermometer with mercury any more.And we are healthier for it. Too many people break the damn things. There are many reasons the US has better life expectancy than Somalia, and regulations designed to reduce health hazards are one of them. And my taxes pay some of the medical cost of others not wearing seat belts. So I'm not so upset that the seat belt noise is there. Public opinion keeps Congress from doing stuff that's too off the wall. |
