Gas heating is better than oil.

The obvious reason is to decrease emissions of molecular waste.

I use the term “molecular waste” by reference to “nuclear waste.” A nuclear power plant contains its harmful byproducts, whereas an organic power plant doesn’t and this is somehow considered acceptable.
